Welcome Ms. Asmahan Jackson
Ms Asmahan Jackson new AP

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Westridge Elementary School.  I am honored to have the opportunity to co-lead a school community with such great teachers, students and parents.

I have been dedicated my career to these pursuits: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring studentsand coaching teachers to become passionate about teaching.  I began my career in Buffalo, New York where I taught 5th and 6th grade.  Moving closer to family I continued my career here in Prince William County in 2007 where I taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade at Featherstone Elementary School.

Being a life-long learner, I continued my career by going back to school and attended George Mason University to specialize in Math Leadership in 2011.  My journey continued as I became a Title I Math Specialist for the last 5 years at Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary School.   In 2018, I knew I wanted to continue my education and went back to George Mason University for Administration and Supervision.

I look forward to being part of the Westridge family and working together to make us stronger
