December 6, 2016: William & Mary Spring Enrichment
The Center for Gifted Education is accepting registrations for the 2017 Spring
Saturday Enrichment Program (SEP). The 2017 Spring program will begin on
Saturday, February 25, 2017 and conclude on March 25, 2017, consisting of 5
Saturday sessions. The Spring program will be located at the William & Mary
Mason School of Business located at 101 Ukrop Way, Williamsburg, VA 23185
SEP is an academically challenging program with an emphasis on inquiry-based
learning for students enrolled in grades K-12. It is not meant to supplant the
regular school curriculum; rather, it recognizes the importance of allowing
able students to explore additional specialized areas of science, mathematics,
humanities, and the arts.

Just In!!!! Saturday workshops with the Northern Virginia Writers Project.
This is sponsored by George Mason University.
The Northern Virginia Writing Project provides one-day writing workshops for interested students and motivated writers in grades 5-12 in the fall and 4-12 in the spring as well as workshops for interested parents and families. Early Writers workshops for grades 1-4 in the fall and 1-3 in the spring will also be offered. Workshops are run by NVWP Teacher Consultants. http//nvwp.org/youngwriters/saturdayworkshops/
Young Writers’ Workshop
Grades 5-12 (Fall), Grades 4-12 (Spring)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Students choose the workshop topics that interest them the most. In addition to the creative options available to all participants, students in grades 11-12 may take part in intensive workshops focused on college writing.
Early Writers’ Workshop
Grades 1-4 (Fall) and Grades 1-3 (Spring)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Offered only on specific weekends
Instructors introduce students to a variety of workshop topics. Students remain in a single classroom; instructors will circulate.
